What are the responsibilities and job description for the Future Opening: Medical Biller for Private Outpatient Psychiatry Practice position at Empire Psychiatry?
I'm a single provider private outpatient psychiatry practice providing care for assisted living patients. I'm looking to add on a supplemental medical biller to help my current biller with claims/denials and all other billing tasks. This will typically take a few hours a week to start.
Duties include:
*Verify insurance coverage
*Correcting rejected claims
*Handle patient inquiries concerning insurance
*Follow up on unpaid medical bills
*Review referrals and initiate Prior Authorizations
*Ensure accuracy of billing information
*Tracking payments
*Investigating and appealing denied claims
*Communicate with insurance providers and patients
*Review payment records
The EMR's in use are Drchrono. We can train on systems.

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
