Full Job Description
- Oversee daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency, profitability, and high customer satisfaction.
- Lead, train, and support Service Advisors and Service Technicians to meet performance and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring consistent, professional service delivery.
- Manage service workflow, scheduling, and workload distribution to maximize productivity and minimize turnaround time.
- Review service estimates, repair orders, and final invoices for accuracy, profitability, and compliance.
- Monitor technician performance, efficiency, and quality of repairs, addressing issues and implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure clear communication between customers, service advisors, technicians, parts staff, and the Sales Department.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
- Oversee warranty and insurance claims to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and timely submission.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure proper use of the dealership management system.
- Control service department expenses, labor rates, and parts usage to meet financial goals.
- Enforce dealership policies, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Analyze service department performance and implement strategies to improve productivity, profitability, and customer retention.
- Work closely with the Sales Department to support unit deliveries, pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), customer follow-ups, and service-related sales opportunities.
- Coordinate with Sales to ensure seamless transitions between purchase, delivery, and post-sale service, enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Collaborate with Sales and Parts departments to support overall dealership operations and customer satisfaction.
