Empire Marketing Strategies is the leading expert in the food brokerage industry and supports the Grocery, Meat/Seafood, Deli/Bakery and Produce suppliers for Kroger and the Kroger family of companies.
Category Insights Analyst Job Summary
The Category Analyst will be responsible for the accurate and timely analysis and communication of client sales data from multiple data resources, crafting and presenting concise fact-based presentations relevant to Kroger Our Brands and regional/national branded accounts.
This position is a hybrid role and will require working in one of Empire's Cincinnati area offices 2 - 3 days per week.
Category Insights Analyst Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing multiple data resources, develop new item presentations and/or category reviews, translating broad trends to specific implications
- Develop effective and accurate data reporting tools that address specific business needs
- Initiate and own post-promotional analytic process, identifying successes and areas for opportunity
- Generate and analyze weekly, monthly and annual reporting to track brand and category performance
- Leverage data to provide event and quarterly forecasting and to monetize trade budget impacts
- Efficiently respond to internal and external ad hoc requests as received
Category Insights Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in related field required; relevant experience considered
- 0 - 3 years of experience in a customer-facing analyst role
- Demonstrated skills in analyzing data from various sources to provide insights and recommendations
- IRI/Nielsen, 84.51° Stratum, and Market 6 experience a plus
- Experience in creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations in front of an audience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; Access, Power BI a plus
