Maintenance Technician (Residential Rentals)

About the Position
We’re seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair our portfolio of rental properties in the Battle Creek, MI & Kalamazoo, MI area. Most of our properties are 1–4 unit residential rentals. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and experienced in general property maintenance and light renovation work.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants
- Perform general repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, etc.)
- Assist with unit turnovers and renovation projects as needed
- Pick up materials and supplies as required
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment while on-site
- Communicate clearly with tenants and property owner regarding work performed
Requirements
- Experience: General maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Tools: Must have your own basic tools (we will replace any broken tools and provide consumables such as blades, bits, etc.)
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and the ability to pick up materials locally
- Professionalism: Must be courteous, respectful, and professional with tenants and other team members
- Work Ethic: Reliable, hard-working, and self-motivated
