Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for driving growth of Emperion’s IME and review services within an assigned territory. This role includes identifying and qualifying new prospects, building relationships with claims professionals and other decision-makers, and presenting tailored solutions that address their business needs. The Area Sales Manager will manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and pipeline management to proposal development, negotiation, and closing. Day-to-day activities involve conducting virtual and occasional in-person client meetings, collaborating with internal operations and clinical teams to ensure service alignment, and tracking performance against sales targets. The role also includes monitoring market trends, participating in industry events, and providing regular reporting and forecasts to sales leadership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in territory management, business development, and account management, with a focus on B2B or healthcare-related services.
- Strong skills in relationship building, consultative selling, and customer service, with the capacity to engage claims professionals and organizational stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic data analysis to manage pipelines, forecast results, and support decision-making.
- Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain complex service offerings clearly and persuasively.
- Self-directed work style with strong time management, organization, and follow-through, especially in a remote environment.
- Experience in Workers’ Compensation, disability, health benefits, insurance, or medical review services is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools and willingness to travel within the assigned area as business needs require.
