Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated Occupational therapist to work with us in Hillsborough County while providing exceptional care.

What you'll Do
- Evaluates participant’s needs. Follow-up with participants during treatment, explaining precautions to take.
- Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in accordance with the FL OT State Practice Act once a plan of care established.
- Constructs or provides orthotic and adaptive equipment as needed.
- Conducts assessment and coordination of home modification program including installation of equipment and other changes to support independence and safety.

What You'll Need
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum.
- Legally authorized, currently licensed, registered, or certified if applicable to practice in the state of Florida.
- Minimum one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population
- Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook
- Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
- For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide valid FL driver's license and proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file.
- Serves as a required member of the Interdisciplinary Team and may attend IDT meetings daily if the assigned OT for one of the IDT teams is on vacation.
