As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Director of Accounting will drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and build a high-performing accounting function. What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities
- Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Oversee monthly close, general ledger, audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting processes
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce reporting lag time
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, variance analysis, and support strategic decision-making
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team

- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s and/or CPA strongly preferred
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, hospice, or human services
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and experience with audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership ability with experience developing teams, combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office, with experience in Workday accounting systems is a plus
