PACE, a member of Empath Health is seeking a compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our interdisciplinary PACE team in Tampa, FL. In this role, the Care Team Assistant provides administrative support to the PACE Center which encompasses the clinic and/or day center. Handles a variety of administrative duties to ensure accurate record keeping, comply with participant capacity for day center, adequate member flow through the clinic and support for some related marketing activities.

What You’ll Do
- Manages the PACE Center reception desk/Clinic reception desk
- Greet and assist participants, visitors, and vendors with professionalism and respect
- Manage phone calls, clinic schedules, transportation, and appointments
- Maintain confidentiality and accurately update participant medical records
- Prepare authorizations, correspondence, reports, and administrative packets
- Manage mail, supplies, and front desk readiness

What You'll Need
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 7 plus years in administrative, writing, office experience. PACE knowledge and experience a plus.
- A minimum of two (2) years in a medical setting (hospital, clinic, medical office, nursing home, etc.). Has worked with the elderly and/or chronically ill. Experience managing patient schedules and a busy front desk or office environment.
- Working knowledge of medical office, hospital and/or clinic environments including protocols, practices and, procedures.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Access.
- Must be able to create spreadsheets, letters, and tables independently.
- Knows how to use scheduling software and/or uses Excel to manage schedules.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing or claims.
- Data entry and database management using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems or equivalent systems.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently plan, prioritize and follow-up on responsibilities.
