Position Title: Manager of Operations

Work Location: Brooklyn, New York

POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinates and leads all Operations Center activities, including supplies procurement, organization, inventory and property asset management, receiving, warehousing, shipping, delivery, quality, phone system, facilities, patient device pick-up, cleaning, testing, maintenance, plus vehicle fleet maintenance and management, in a

manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs all Operations activities and teammates within a large (based on revenue, complexity, headcount) Distribution Center.
  • Provides proactive feedback to front line Operations management, initiating management coaching, teammate performance feedback, management performance feedback, and corrective actions where needed.
  • Responsible and accountable for achieving agreed upon financial goals for the department operating expenses (Warehouse Expense, Delivery Expense, Occupancy Expense, and Inventory Shrink).
  • Makes capital recommendations and reviews and approves appropriate expenses for thedepartment.
  • Responsible and accountable for achieving operational performance Key Performance Indicators in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Turnover.
  • Oversees all customer service for the department, resolving issues relating to service quality, pick pack and ship requirements, and deliveries. Coordinates with local Account Management team, and Corporate Operations as needed.
  • Implements the conversion of new customers at the distribution center to ensure successful implementation of new business.
  • Enforces and Develops Policies for operations to extend adherence to company developed SOP's / WI's for warehouse management and transportation.
  • Monitors and reports performance, implementing root cause analysis to consistently work towards improving teammate relations, customer quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversees succession planning, identifying, attracting, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.
  • Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements regarding scheduled drugs, hazardous material, dating merchandise, storage requirements and reporting agencies (DOL, DEA, FDA, OSHA, etc.). Acts as the Designated Representative for the department where required by licensing andcompliance laws and regulations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•       Strong financial acumen including prior profit and loss responsibilities.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to direct large complex initiatives across a broad network and ensure completion.
  • Proven ability to analyze and conclude; ability to apply Continuous Improvement methodologies and to standardize processes across multiple sites and functions.

•       Ability to lead and drive change among peers and direct reports.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

•       Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office  Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to conduct assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS:

•       Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 5 or more years of professional supply chain or warehouse operations and/or distribution experience, preferably within the healthcare/medical/medical device industry.
  • 5 or more years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation & mentoring experience.

•       Or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivitystandards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
