What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT position at Empass Management LLC?
A Product Director & Marketing oversees the design and development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet business and/or client needs and preferences. Main duties include determining the overall vision of products; prioritizing of backlogs and features according to business priorities and needs; leadership of product teams and related roles; develop and communicate a cohesive and forward-thinking vision for the entire product collection
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage team member(s) and colleagues to successfully deliver product and other technical solutions to advance organizational objectives
- Coach and guide team member(s) in skills and career development
- Develop and communicate goals and objectives with team members
- Collaborate with prospective users and other stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Define the vision for each of the team’s products
- Create and maintain product roadmaps based on this vision
- Seek input from research, support desk, usage logs, surveys, and other forums
- Manage product backlogs and prioritize based on evolving requirements
- Oversee all stages of product creation including design, development, QA, UAT, release, and upgrades
- Work closely with the UX design team to develop personas, user stories, flows, and journeys
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process
- Provide product leadership in Scrum meetings and product sprints
- Conduct market research to identify customer and product trends, competitor offerings and data insights
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional material, and general content for social, partner, and internal needs
- Provide stakeholder updates in the form of presentations, dashboards, roadmaps, and other visualization tools and techniques
- Lead development of a product team, hiring and guiding the team in creating world-class experiences
- Additional leadership and hands-on responsibilities as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent strategic, leadership, and managerial skills

- Excellent analytical skills, applicant will need an eagle eye for detail
- Ability to work under pressure and motivation to succeed in a competitive environment
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Working knowledge of product development architecture
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to work with varied and remote teams
- Understanding of design quality standards (minimal design skills preferred)
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- High school diploma or GED required
Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
