Emmy Squared Pizza is coming to Greenwich, CT! We are seeking experienced Prep Cooks to join our opening team and deliver exceptional dining experiences! Your Role as a Prep Cook:
As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in the success of our kitchen by ensuring ingredients and dishes are prepared to the highest standards. You will:
- Prepare specific food items and recipes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
- Set up and maintain assigned kitchen workstations.
- Properly handle, store, and date food items to ensure freshness and safety.
- Use facility supplies and equipment responsibly to minimize loss and waste.
- Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to management.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
- Perform other back-of-house duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring to the Table:
- At least 1 year of experience as a prep or line cook in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing responsibilities.
- Calm and welcoming demeanor, even under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical capability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs., push/pull up to 75 lbs., and stand for extended periods, with frequent bending and reaching overhead.
- Familiarity with culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and the ability to taste/smell for quality assurance.
- A passion for food—pizza knowledge is a plus!
