Emily’s Produce is seeking Kitchen Team Members to help with operations at the retail market in Cambridge, Maryland. Emily’s Produce is a locally owned and operated farm and roadside farm market that specializes in homegrown and prepared food, flowers, and activities for children and families. Members of the Emily’s Produce team are a tightly bonded group of customer service professionals who create a unique destination and atmosphere for visitors.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to join our great team where you will assist in the preparation of delicious homemade recipes that use our own homegrown fruits, vegetables, and meats.
Job Duties:
Prepare a variety food, with diverse methods of preparation and adheres to specific product prep and handling procedures
Work in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.
Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Follow recipes to ensure high quality consistent products
Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and food service area
Keep prepared food continuously flowing out of the kitchen into the retail area
Complete assigned prep work to stock and set up food service areas as necessary.
Break down and clean work areas at end of shift following company and regulatory policies
Ensure proper rotation of all products and stock product to par.
Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
Job Requirements:
Interest and experience in food preparation, cooking, and baking
Creativity when using locally grown ingredients
Lift and carry up to 50lbs
Place heavy or cold items on high shelves and in walk-in cooler & freezer.
Stand 100% of shift.
Work frequently in hot environment.
Work with an open flame.
May use knives, slicers or other kitchen machinery.
Able to hold items with hands (knives, pans) for extended periods of time, with up to 5 lbs. of weight.
Able to read a kitchen recipes and calculate recipe measurements
Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
