What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Dental Assistant position at EMILY MELLION DDS PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY INC?
Keystone Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant for our growing practice located in Medina, OH. A successful candidate will have a friendly disposition and the desire to work with children of all ages and abilities. Our fun, nurturing office creates positive dental experiences for young patients and their families. Experience is preferred, but not required, we will train the right person for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist chairside during examinations, cleanings, sealants, fillings, extractions, and other pediatric procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments
- Take digital radiographs
- Provide patient education and chairside support to help children feel comfortable and relaxed
- Help create a warm, positive, and fun environment for anxious or special-needs patients
Qualifications:
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred (pediatric experience is a big plus!)
- X-ray certification (Ohio radiology license) required or obtainable quickly
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication skills and genuine love for working with children and families
- Patient, calm demeanor – ability to put nervous kids at ease is essential
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
