What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expanded Function Dental Assistant position at Keystone Pediatric Dentistry?
Keystone Pediatric Dentistry, a private practice, is seeking an EFDA for our growing practice located in Medina, OH. A successful candidate will have a friendly disposition and the desire to work with children of all ages and abilities. Our fun, nurturing office creates positive dental experiences for young patients and their families. EFDA certification is required.
We are not a corporate office and have a supportive team and caring leadership!

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform coronal polishing to remove plaque and stains for that super-smooth, bright smile finish
- Assist with preventive care, fluoride applications, sealants, and patient education
- Prepare treatment areas and assist chairside during cleanings and restorative procedures
- Build trust and comfort with our young patients and their families
Qualifications:
- EFDA Certificate

X-ray certification (Ohio radiology license) required or obtainable quickly
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication skills and genuine love for working with children and families
- Patient, calm demeanor – ability to put nervous kids at ease is essential
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
