Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant

The Key Duties and Responsibilites include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Weekly Bookkeeping for the business and business clients
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
- Pay vendor bills
- Weekly QuickBooks account reconciliation and posting adjusting journal entries
- Maintain general ledger
- Maintain books and records of transactions
- Maintain historical records of documents
- General banking duties: Prepare and post deposits/stop payments etc.
- Review accounts and release payments
- Review monthly billing reports
- Calculate monthly premiums and vendor payments
- Cut checks and release payments for premiums and vendor payments
- Performs weekly reconciliation of bank statement and research discrepancies in an accurate and timely manner
- Provides Financial Reports and claims activities to clients
- Interacts with clients by answering questions and research discrepancies
- Files client documentation
- Create invoices and collect payments
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Data Entry Skills
- Accounting knowledge (GAAP)
- Analytical Skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications
- Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Ability to process financial information accurately and promptly, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in customer/client service environments
- Professional telephone demeanor
Requirements:
- College degree desired
- 2 years bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks experience which includes knowledge on classifying journal entries and Chart of Accounts
Job Type: Full Time
- Schedule
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday; (Some Saturdays)
