What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sawing & Sealing Laborer position at Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Operate walk-behind and handheld concrete saws to cut joints and clean lines in concrete
- Apply joint sealants and materials to protect and extend the life of concrete surfaces
- Assist with layout, prep work, and clean-up on job sites
- Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor direction
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition
- Support crew members with general labor tasks as needed
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous construction or labor experience preferred (concrete experience a plus)
- Must be willing to work days and/or nights
- Ability to operate or learn to operate concrete saws and sealing equipment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
