We are seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to manage and lead a crew of construction workers on concrete‑focused projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, with a strong emphasis on curb & gutter, sidewalks, ADA work, and residential concrete projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a concrete crew, including scheduling, task assignments, and daily production planning
- Oversee curb & gutter, sidewalks, ADA ramps, and residential concrete work
- Operate and oversee the use of curb machines and related concrete equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Enforce compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite regulations
- Communicate daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, and inspectors to ensure project alignment
- Review, understand, and approve crew timecards, ensuring accuracy and accountability
- Manage materials, equipment, and manpower to maximize productivity
- Train and mentor crew members on best practices, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Identify and resolve jobsite issues proactively to prevent delays or rework
- Maintain strong working relationships with crew members, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or additional coursework preferred
- 3-5 years of construction experience, with previous Foreman experience required
- Strong concrete experience, including:
- Curb & gutter installation
- Sidewalks and ADA‑compliant concrete work
- Residential concrete projects
- Hands‑on experience operating and overseeing concrete equipment, including:
- Curb machines
- Skid loaders
- Mini excavators (mini hoes)
- Proven experience approving and managing timecards
- Ability to read plans, understand grades, and ensure work meets specifications
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop crews
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions
- Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
