Key Responsibilities• Food Preparation & Service
• Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards.
• Ensure meals are prepared safely, on time, and at proper serving temperatures.
• Accommodate resident dietary needs, including special diets, allergies, and texture modifications.
• Present food attractively and consistently, following Mosaic dining standards.
• Step in to assist with plating, garnishing, and serving during peak dining times.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and personalized service to residents and guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience and fostering positive relationships
• Kitchen Cleanliness & Sanitation
• Clean and maintain the kitchen, food preparation areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
• Follow Mosaic’s cleaning schedules and infection control standards.
Qualifications & Skills• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Ability to prepare a variety of foods skillfully and efficiently.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience working with therapeutic or specialized diets.
• ServSafe, Food Handlers or equivalent food safety certification.
