What are the responsibilities and job description for the GSRP LEAD TEACHER position at Emerging Imaginations Academy?
Emerging Imaginations Academies is seeking a qualified and caring GSRP Lead Teacher to lead a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) classroom. The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children.
The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement C4L curriculum aligned with GSRP standards
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Use child assessment data to guide instruction and support individual learning needs
- Maintain required GSRP documentation, lesson plans, attendance, and child portfolios
- Ensure classroom compliance with all GSRP policies and procedures
- Build positive relationships with families, including conferences and required home visits
- Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development
We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or related
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with early childhood endorsement or eligibility under GSRP requirements
- Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
- The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
- The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
- Meets all Michigan GSRP Lead Teacher qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous GSRP or preschool teaching experience
- Strong classroom leadership and communication skills
Work Environment
- Active classroom setting with preschool-aged children
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, squatting and hands-on engagement
- Follows the GSRP school-year calendar
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
