Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Floater/Teacher's Aid to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, including child supervision, behavior management, and instructional support
- Support children’s developmental needs through engaging play, learning exercises, and age-appropriate activities
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and learning
- Implement classroom routines and transitions smoothly to ensure a structured day for children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and report any concerns appropriately
- Support emergency procedures including first aid and CPR when necessary, adhering to pediatric first aid standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions
- Familiarity with child supervision techniques, including toddler care and infant care
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required or highly desirable
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving young children is beneficial
