Job Description

Temporary Technical Designer – Footwear

Location - San Francisco: Mostly onsite but some work can be done from home

Hourly rate- $30-50

Key Responsibilities

Support footwear development with focus on tech pack accuracy, standardization, and vendor onboarding.

Phase 1: Tech Pack Development & Audit (Now – April 3)

  • Create and develop tech packs across assigned categories
  • Audit existing tech packs for accuracy and completeness
  • Build missing tech packs where needed
  • Add and update POMs, construction details, materials, and trims
  • Migrate POMs from legacy formats into updated templates
  • Support costing initiatives with construction notes and imagery

Phase 2: Standardization & Fit Support (April 6 – April 24)

  • Update tech packs with outdated fit blocks
  • Standardize formats across categories
  • Add construction imagery and material information
  • Measure proto and fit samples
  • Participate in fit sessions and provide fit comments

Qualifications

  • 3 years Technical Design experience in footwear
  • Strong footwear construction knowledge
  • Experience with footwear tech packs
  • PLM and Illustrator proficiency preferred
