Our Midstream Oil and Gas Client here in Houston, TX is seeking a Business System Analyst with experience in commercial midstream oil & gas systems to join their team! This person will support applications across business operations and partner with Commercial, Accounting, Operations, and IT teams to deliver system enhancements, support critical applications, and drive process improvements across contracts, scheduling, measurement, invoicing, and settlements.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
- Support and enhance commercial midstream applications (gas and/or liquids)
- Participate in Agile delivery (sprint ceremonies, backlog management, Jira tracking)
- Design and execute test plans to ensure system functionality meets business needs
- Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate with vendors and IT for resolution
- Lead or support projects from requirements through implementation
- Maintain system documentation and compliance artifacts
- Provide user support, training, and participate in on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Experience supporting commercial midstream applications
- Strong understanding of contracts, tariffs, scheduling, measurement, invoicing, and settlements
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
