Summary
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for providing day-to-day support across various accounting functions, including transaction processing and assisting with the month-end close
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure proper coding
- Assist with preparing and processing weekly check runs and/or off-cycle payments
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries related to Accounts Payable
- Record A/P payments
- Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements
- Assist with IDR accounting
- Reconcile employee benefits and tax liability accounts
- Provide support for the month-end close and annual audit
- Support accounting staff with other tasks and projects as needed

Required Skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Microsoft Excel experience required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education/Experience
1-3 years of experience in accounting required
