Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
We are looking for either a FT (32-40 hours) or PT (16-24 hours) hourly role with the opportunity to move to a full-time salaried position.

Required Knowledge, Abilities, And Working Conditions
Knowledge of: Multifactional considerations in treating addiction with a concentration on Person-Centered care. Safety rules and procedures, the organization’s policies and procedures, and de-escalation techniques for individuals who may be frustrated or exalted.
Abilities: Multitask and work independently with minimal supervision. Communicate information clearly, read, write, speak, and understand. Recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities. Standing, bending, stooping, sitting, walking, reaching above and below shoulder, repetitive use of hands to operate office equipment. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions: Standard office/clinical office setting. May be exposed to clients who are potentially angry or violent. General exposure to standard office equipment (computers, monitors, copiers, etc.).

Essential Functions
- Confirm client’s past diagnosis and related current prescriptions for appropriateness.
- Prescribe medication to patients in accordance with the organization’s formulary and timely completion of all prescriptions.
- Prescribe Medically Assisted Treatment when appropriate.
- Formulate exit strategy for medications according to the organization’s standards.
- Participate in complex patient decision making regarding medically compromised or complicated patient care, determining if a patient requires a different level of addiction care, assisting in the discharge determination process.
- Be available for interdisciplinary treatment meeting (IDT) to review challenging patients for the purposes of decision making and education.
- Provide on-site consultation when needed.
- Complete clinical notes in Electronic Health Records system.
- Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures, including compliance with all behavioral, ethical, and client boundary expectations.
- Maintain client records according to the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain organization, Ohio MHAS, and CARF required training.
- Maintain license or registration appropriate to profession and appropriate to job requirement, including appropriate amount of continuing education at all times of employment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Demonstrated competencies working with substance abuse and chemically dependent populations.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with using and navigating Electronic Health Records and other industry related types of applications.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Holds a valid license to advanced practice nursing functions in the State of Ohio and has prescriptive authority in the State of Ohio (DEA)
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in mental health, alcohol, drug, and addiction services.
Salary : $65 - $75
