Strategy Associate

The Strategy Associate will play a key role within Emerald’s Corporate Strategy & Communications team, with a primary focus on enterprise strategy, market analysis, and business performance insights. This role supports high-impact work that helps shape how the company allocates resources, evaluates opportunities, and drives long-term growth.While the core mandate is strategy, the associate will also support adjacent work in Communications and Strategic Partnerships, contributing research, analysis, and structured materials that inform partner initiatives and enterprise storytelling.This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad exposure across the business while building the analytical, strategic, and operational toolkit required to influence decisions at the corporate level.The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a structured and curious thinker, and a proactive, highly organized operator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct research and analysis across markets, competitors, customers, and brand performance to inform strategic planning, business cases, and leadership decision-making.Synthesize insights and prepare strategic deliverables, including concise summaries, opportunity assessments, frameworks, and slides for senior leadership.Support enterprise strategy initiatives by helping structure workstreams, organizing information, and ensuring cross-functional teams are aligned and progressing.Assist with Strategic Partnerships work, including gathering market intelligence, supporting partner evaluations and preparing pitch materials.Provide targeted support for Communications by helping draft strategic messaging for select enterprise-wide initiatives, and leadership materials.Help prepare executive-ready materials, such as presentations, talking points, analysis memos, and research briefs that support Strategy, Partnerships, and enterprise programs.Maintain organization and workflow discipline by keeping documents, trackers, dashboards, and planning tools up to date to support efficient, high-quality execution.What You Bring to the TeamBachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, economics, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, research/analytics, or another structured problem-solving role (strong internships acceptable for exceptional candidates).Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify patterns, and synthesize insights that inform strategic recommendations.Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, concise outputs.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative, curious, and proactive, with a willingness to work across teams, gather input, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.What You’ll GainExposure to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, providing visibility into how strategic decisions are made across the business.Hand-on experience working on high-visibility projects that shape Emerald’s strategy, planning and storytelling.The opportunity to make a meaningful impact early in your career by contributing directly to enterprise-level initiatives.A uniquely broad role that blends strategic thinking, storytelling, analysis, and execution - ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and stretch within a dynamic organization.ABOUT EMERALDEmerald’s talented and experienced teams grow our customers’ businesses 365 days a year with products that create connections, deliver content, and drive commerce. COMPENSATION & BENEFITSTarget Compensation: $70,000-80,000Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
