What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Account Manager | Broadway Marketing | And That's Strategy LLC position at And That's Strategy LLC?
DESCRIPTION
Associate Account Manager & Community Manager | And That’s Strategy LLC | Organic Social Media — Broadway & Live Entertainment
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Type: Part time, 20-25 hours/week
Reports to: Account Manager
Salary: $22-25/hour, commensurate with experience benefits (sick days, professional development)
The Win
You are the creative engine and community champion. Every week, you deliver a content calendar that’s filled, on-brand, and strategically sound. You turn fan passion into active participation. You catch the moments that matter, shape how the show’s story gets told online, and build the kind of community where every fan feels seen.
You’re the AM’s creative partner and the team’s idea generator. You dream up the content, lead the execution, guide the creative team, and empower the community managers working beside you. The shows you support don’t just post—they sing.
The Role
CONTENT CREATION & CALENDAR OWNERSHIP
- Own the content calendar—fill it, execute it, and post it on time and on brand. You partner with the AM on strategy in weekly content planning sessions, then run with it. Generate social-first content ideas across all formats: short-form video, photography, memes, creative cards, music videos, and partnerships. Collaborate closely with designers and editors, giving clear creative direction and constructive feedback. See the work through production to publication.
COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT
- Lead day-to-day community management across assigned social accounts. Respond meaningfully to comments and DMs, foster a vibrant and active fan community, and set the tone for how fans feel welcomed and celebrated. You’re genuinely interested in building relationships with the audience and making every fan interaction count. Your energy shapes the community.
CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP & BRAINSTORMING
- Serve as the AM’s creative brainstorm partner. Bring big ideas to the table—conceptual takes, experimental content, strategic partnerships, activations. Collaborate on strategy and execution across all show verticals. While the AM makes the final decisions, your thinking shapes the direction. You contribute at every level, from individual posts to major campaign ideas.
ON-SITE EXECUTION & CONTENT CAPTURE
- Assist with on-site content capture at rehearsals, performances, in-person fan activations, and events. Know the angles, capture the moments, spot the opportunities. Support the AM in scouting locations and managing day-of logistics so the content you gather is production-ready.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DELEGATION
- Lead and guide the Account Assistant, interns, designers, and editors supporting your accounts. Own internal delegation and organization. When the AM is unavailable, step in on internal decisions. Develop the people around you—delegate with clarity, give feedback generously, and create a team that wants to show up.
ANALYTICS, INSIGHTS & REPORTING
- Own analytics and reporting for your accounts. Surface insights and opportunities to senior account leads. Know what’s working, what resonates with the audience, and how to move the needle on the metrics that matter. Bring data-informed ideas to the strategy table.
The Profile | The person most likely to succeed in this role:
- A creative first, systems second. Your instinct is creative, not administrative. You think in visuals, stories, and moments. You wake up thinking about ideas—and you execute them. You’re the person who has five concepts before the morning coffee is cold and can see a music video in your head before the lyrics start.
- A generous collaborator who loves good work. You work great with designers, editors, producers, and community managers. You give clear, kind feedback that makes work better. You see what someone else can do and you empower them to do it. You’re invested in the quality of everything—not because you need control, but because you care.
- Community-minded and genuinely interested in fans. You understand fandom—what makes fans tick, what they care about, what they want to see and be part of. You’re not just managing accounts; you’re building spaces where fans can express their passion. You actually like talking to people online and making them feel welcome.
- Deeply knowledgeable about social platforms and trends. You know Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook inside and out. You follow trends, you understand what works on each platform, and you can adapt a concept to fit the medium. 2–4 years of experience in social media, content creation, community management, or a related field. Proven track record of creating content that resonates and builds community.
- Organized and reliable with timelines and workflows. You manage multiple accounts, multiple stakeholders, and tight deadlines without losing track. Your calendar is your best friend. You get things done on time and on brand. You’re the person people know will deliver.
- A self-starter who thrives on ownership. You don’t wait for instructions. You see what needs to happen and you make it happen. You’re comfortable owning large pieces of work and running with them. You work independently and take pride in the quality of your output.
- A learner and problem-solver. When something doesn’t work, you figure out why and you fix it. You’re curious about the tools, the platforms, the analytics. You’re interested in getting better. You see your role as a launchpad, not a resting place.
Location & Schedule
This position is hybrid, with regular weekly in-person responsibilities such as events, shoots, and team collaboration. Candidates must be based in New York City. Most meetings are conducted online, with standard business hours 9–5 M–F. Occasional evening or weekend events based on show schedules or content opportunities.
About This Role
This role is the creative heartbeat of account execution. You’re not managing tasks—you’re generating the ideas and energy that make a show’s online presence sing. You support the Account Manager on strategy while owning the creative and community execution. You lead the team supporting your accounts, mentor junior staff, and contribute ideas across all the shows we work with.
If you’re someone who thinks in content, who loves building communities, who gets energy from making ideas real, and who wants to work on Broadway shows alongside a collaborative, ambitious team—this is your role.
To apply: Submit your resume, a cover note, and a portfolio of content you’ve created or led (TikToks, reels, memes, creative campaigns, community initiatives—whatever shows how you think).
