Peer Support Specialist (Transportation & Client Engagement)
Location: Paducah, KY and surrounding local area

Lumera Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Peer Support Specialist to support clients in accessing behavioral health services and maintaining engagement in care. This role involves providing peer-based support, assisting clients with transportation to and from scheduled programming, and helping foster a welcoming and supportive treatment environment.
The Peer Support Specialist will work closely with the clinical team to encourage participation in services and promote recovery-oriented care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer-based support and encouragement to individuals engaged in behavioral health treatment
- Assist with transportation of clients to and from scheduled groups or appointments within the local service area
- Help facilitate psychoeducational groups under the direction of clinical staff
- Support client engagement and participation in treatment programming
- Assist in maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clients
- Collaborate with the care team to support client needs and promote recovery goals
- Perform other supportive duties that contribute to the overall client care experience
Qualifications
- Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Associate (CADCA I or II) preferred
- Lived experience with recovery and the ability to support others in their recovery journey
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Additional Information
- Local travel required within the Paducah, KY service area
- Some evenings and Saturdays required
- Position involves regular interaction with clients participating in behavioral health programming
