The Senior Buyers are responsible for managing the procurement of goods, materials, and services to meet the company’s operational needs. Responsibilities of the Sr. Buyer:Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for electronic components, raw materials, and other supplies critical to PCB manufacturing.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.Manage and optimize supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of materials.Collaborate with production, engineering, and planning department to forecast material requirements and ensure availability to meet production schedules.Maintain optimal inventory levels to minimize excess inventory and avoid shortages while meeting production demands.Monitor and track material consumption rates to adjust purchasing schedules accordingly.Assess and monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness.Benefits of the Job:Competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits Health Savings Account/Flexible Spending Account 401K and company matching with no vesting period PTO for rest and relaxation Gym reimbursement (through Anthem) Employee Assistance Program A safe and inclusive work environment with team and management support Employee training and development Community service and philanthropic initiatives Employee appreciation and events Career advancement opportunities Employee Referral program Employee discounts Qualifications of the Sr. Buyer:Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field.At least five years of procurement or purchasing experience, specifically in electronics manufacturing or a related industry.Demonstrated knowledge of materials management accounting processes, including cost-benefit analysis and inventory control systems.Familiarity with supply chain dynamics, supplier networks, product lines, and sourcing strategies.Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB manufacturing processes, and associated industry standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and procurement/vendor management software.Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems, with the ability to generate, interpret, and act on relevant reports.Emerald Technologies is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers, focusing on high-reliability electronic assemblies.
