PROJECT MANAGER

A leading commercial builder in Chicago is expanding its project management team and looking for a Project Manager who thrives in a design focused environment. This firm delivers high quality work across hospitality, interiors, retail, and multi family residential, partnering closely with architects, designers, and owners to bring elevated spaces to life.
In this role, you will oversee two to three commercial projects from kickoff through completion. You will manage the full project lifecycle including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contracts, and daily coordination. You will work closely with experienced Superintendents and maintain strong communication with clients, trade partners, and design teams to ensure each project reflects the intended design and the firm’s high standards.
What You Will Lead
• Coordination of project schedules, budgets, documentation, and client communication
• Day to day oversight of subcontractors, RFIs, submittals, buyout, and change management
• Strong partnership with Superintendents to maintain quality, safety, and project momentum
• Clear communication with owners, architects, and designers to keep everyone aligned
• Problem solving, risk awareness, and proactive planning to avoid delays and issues
• Delivery of polished, well organized projects that reflect the firm’s reputation
What You Bring
• 5 or more years of commercial or multi family construction experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects, read drawings, and oversee project financials
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with clients and design teams
• Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar systems is helpful
• A collaborative mindset, strong follow through, and comfort owning outcomes
