We are working on a confidential search for a senior-level technical leader who can help guide architecture, DevOps, and production support for a growing, product-focused business.
This is a strong fit for someone who knows how to look across the full technical picture, improve systems that are already live, raise code quality, and help shape the right path forward. This is not just about building features. It is about building better standards, stronger architecture, smarter workflows, and a more self-supporting environment over time.
The right person will bring a mix of technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to solve real business problems through better systems and better engineering direction.
What you will do
- Help lead technical IT architecture, platform direction, and engineering standards
- Partner with leadership and development teams to improve system design and long-term scalability
- Drive better code quality through code reviews, architectural guidance, and framework direction
- Help strengthen DevOps and production support practices across the environment
- Guide the build-out of services and tools that improve workflow and solve operational pain points
- Support continuous improvement across development efficiency, delivery practices, and system reliability
- Help shape the use of newer AI-driven coding tools and cloud-based development environments
- Use metrics and data to improve engineering effectiveness
- Think through complex technical challenges, including large-file processing and video encoding/re-encoding workflows
What we are looking for
- Strong background in architecture, DevOps, and production support
- Experience leading technical direction in a complex enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of code quality, code reviews, standards, and system evolution
- Ability to work across both strategy and execution without needing to be the day-to-day hands-on builder of every system
- Experience helping teams build the right tools to solve business pain points
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure to a growing environment
- Experience with Go is highly preferred
- Strong background with C# and enterprise application environments is important
- Comfortable working across modern development practices, cloud-based tools, and evolving engineering workflows
- Experience with high-volume platforms and business-critical systems is a plus
Environment
- New platform work in Go
- Existing environment is about 50% C#
- Focus areas include architecture, DevOps, supportability, workflow improvement, and platform evolution
- Systems are already running successfully, but the goal is to improve and mature them further
- Platform supports millions of transactions per day
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools
- Exposure to code indexing, engineering metrics, and developer productivity tooling
- Background working with large mobile video files or video processing pipelines
If you have the background to help lead architecture, improve engineering direction, and solve meaningful business and platform challenges, I would like to talk with you.
