Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with strong phlebotomy and IV skills to join our dynamic healthcare team.
Requirements:
MUST** Blood draw experience & efficiency A MUST ***
MUST** Clinical Athena EHR experience is A MUST ***
Punctual/on time every day Team spirit and a willingness to learn and excel Clinical experience in a patient care setting IV experience / certification is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare exam rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
* Execute instructions in a detailed manner and provide feedback once completed. Take and record patient vitals, medical histories, and other relevant information.
* Perform phlebotomy (drawing blood), ensuring patient comfort and proper handling of specimens.
* Administer injections, vaccines, and other treatments as directed by the provider.
* Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare samples for analysis.
* Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
* Other as directed by management
Administrative Duties:
* Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic's calendar as needed Update and maintain patient medical records in our electronic health system.
* Handle phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide follow-up instructions.
Other Duties:
* Educate patients about treatments, procedures, and wellness practices.
* Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; a Medical Assistant certification or LPN degree is preferred Proven experience in phlebotomy (certification is a plus).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Athena's EHR software
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
