Emerald Canning Partners is looking for a Packaging Tagger to join our team in a high-speed, dynamic production environment. Emerald Canning Partners is a leading beverage producer and co-packaging facility specializing in the development, production, packaging, and distribution of a diverse range of beverages. The Taggers primary responsibilities will be placing accurate tags, and ensuring outstanding quality and compliance within your department. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, a commitment to precision, and a deep understanding of industry compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Product Quality Inspection: Tagging is the final quality control checkpoint before products are shipped to customers. This role is responsible for ensuring the team is trained and diligent in thoroughly inspecting all products, for defects or inconsistencies. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential, as our reputation depends on it.
- Production Support & Safety: Help the team in producing a high volume of beverages while maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized work environment. Ensure the tagging areas and workspaces are clean and organized.
- Training & Process Execution: Ensuring consistent execution according to process instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Proper tagging process for each product, proper use of the banding machine, proper use of a pallet jack & moving pallets. Continuously identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and workflow.
- Tag Management & Deployment: Ensure the correct tags are used for each SKU and production run, and that all tagging materials are prepared and accessible to keep operations running smoothly. Ensure finished product is safely and neatly stored in its appropriate area and logged accurately each day.
- Nightly Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Assist as needed to submit nightly reports on team productivity, highlighting output, performance trends, and any issues encountered. Use this data to drive ongoing improvements to tagging operations, whether through refining processes, recommending new equipment, or adjusting staffing approaches. A continuous improvement mindset is critical to success in this role.
Education, Skills and Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extremely high level of attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ongoing sense of urgency
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent understanding of the principles of ECP production
- Proven ability to work well with others
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations and requirements
- Must be able to lift full cases (20 pounds) frequently for extended periods of time
- Must be able to remain on your feet for an entire shift
Working Conditions
- The work for this position will be divided between a climate-controlled, smoke-free office environment, outside and in other business locations. Normal outdoor weather and travel hazards apply.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times requiring ear protection.
