Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Technical Oversight
- Serve as Responsible Charge for EHV overhead transmission line projects.
- Lead multi‑disciplinary engineering teams and establish project work plans.
- Perform advanced engineering calculations, structure loading analysis, and equipment research specific to EHV overhead lines.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Support permitting, land acquisition coordination, and subcontractor administration.
- Identify client drivers and manage project changes.
- Support business development, proposal efforts, and client presentations.
- Build strong relationships with investor‑owned utilities and EPC partners.
- Provide technical mentorship, conduct design reviews, and support hiring decisions.
- Guide junior and mid‑level engineers through complex design challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
- 11 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
- Proven expertise in EHV overhead transmission line design.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and MVR check.
- P.E. License (highly preferred).
- Mastery of PLS‑CADD (required), line routing, and structural/foundation design.
- Experience with EPC/design services for U.S. investor‑owned utilities.
- Strong understanding of permitting, land acquisition, and subcontractor management.
- Ideal candidates come from engineering firms, not utilities.
