What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Coordinator position at EMCOR?
The BIM Technician position is a critical role for the company. This individual will be directly responsible for the quality and accuracy of BIM modeling, coordination, and detailing at the direction of the Project Lead.
Responsibilities
- Obtain, organize, and distribute base models, point cloud scans, and relevant files.
- Create Revit families in response to project needs.
- Perform tracing of point cloud scans to provide clashable models.
- Perform modeling, coordination, and detailing at the direction of the Project Lead.
- Create fabrication and installation spool drawings for the shop and field.
- Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team.
- Produce accurate and quality models, drawings, and details within the allotted project schedule.
Skills and Experience
- 1-3 years of experience modeling or detailing work recommended.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction design drawings.
- Proficient with Revit, Navisworks, and/or other comparable 3-D modeling or CAD software preferred.
- Proficient with Bluebeam Revu
- Proficient with Office 365 suite of products.
- High School diploma or GED required. Associate’s in drafting, design, or related field recommended.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English
