Role Description: Service Technician is a full-time, mobile role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in commercial facilities, including diagnosing issues, performing routine inspections, and completing corrective repairs. The technician will conduct preventive maintenance, ensure systems operate efficiently and safely, and document all work performed in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Daily activities include responding to service calls, troubleshooting equipment, communicating clearly with clients about findings and recommendations, and collaborating with team members to meet service schedules. The role also involves adherence to safety policies, proper use of tools and test equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently.
- Experience with maintenance & repair of heating and air conditioning equipment, including both corrective and routine service tasks.
- VAV, VRF, VRV, Chillers, water cooled units, and Liebert system knowledge is beneficial.
- Knowledge of and commitment to preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and optimize performance.
- EPA certification or equivalent credentials related to handling refrigerants and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with clients.
- Relevant technical training or vocational education in HVAC or mechanical systems; trade school or apprenticeship experience is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and to complete accurate service documentation.
- Physical capability to perform field work, including lifting equipment, working in varied environments, and using hand and power tools safely.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the New York City Metropolitan Area.

- Must be available and able to commute in NYC area.
