Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services has an opening for a Journeyman Electrician in Alexandria, Virginia.
This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8am -4pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.• Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, and working standard computations.• Perform tasks that support the electrical infrastructure distribution system.• Install raceways and associated wires.• Provide technical support to engineering staff.• Troubleshoot electrical problems.• Replace/repair outdated electrical devices.• Perform electrical portion of build outs.• Perform other maintenance tasks and assist all trades as directed by his Supervisor and Lead.
Qualifications
• Must hold at least a Journeymen Electrical license.• Six (6) or more years of experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to: Generators, Transformers, Switchboards, Controllers, Circuit breakers, Motors, Heating units, Conduit systems and Electrical Distribution System, Lutron lighting systems.• Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.• Be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Building Facility and Structural Systems.• Must have or be able to obtain Top Secret clearance.
