Job Description:
The Quality Inspector Level 1 is responsible for performing routine inspection, verification of requirements, and documentation of results at First Piece, In-process, Final, Packing, and Shipment stages. They will inspect machined work pieces or product at machine stations or inspection area to ensure conformance to specifications. The Quality Inspector Level 1 will identify and address issues, discuss proposed solutions, and make recommendations for improvement. They will also identify and document evidence for nonconforming products, measuring dimensions using precision equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Additionally, they will review drawings or prints to locate product specifications, material, processes, finish, and dimensions, and record inspection results on appropriate forms including discrepancy reports when needed. The Quality Inspector Level 1 will contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, and work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities.
