Automotive Service Writer/ Experienced Sales

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
• Write detailed service orders, accurately describing vehicle issues using automotive terminology
• Collaborate with technicians to diagnose mechanical problems such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, alignments, oil changes, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
• Recommend additional services or repairs through effective upselling techniques while maintaining transparency and trust
• Manage auto estimating processes to provide accurate cost assessments for repairs and maintenance
• Handle cash transactions efficiently and maintain precise records of all service activities
• Maintain excellent customer service by providing timely updates on vehicle status and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process

Skills

• Proven automotive experience with a solid understanding of automotive service management and customer relations
• Exceptional ability to upsell services by identifying customer needs and explaining benefits clearly
• Experience in auto estimating software and service writing to ensure accurate documentation
• Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly demeanor that fosters trust and loyalty
• Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining detailed records
• Sales-oriented mindset with a passion for automobiles and helping customers find solutions that meet their needs
