What are the responsibilities and job description for the ArcGIS CI/CD Automation Engineer position at Embedded Alliance?
ArcGIS CI/CD Automation Engineer - Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is Required
Washington, DC Area OR St. Louis, MO
Build the pipelines that ship mission-critical geospatial software.
The ArcGIS Enterprise is used across the national security community, and every release has to be fast, reproducible, and secure from source to final package. We're looking for an engineer who likes automating things, removing manual steps, and making builds reliable enough that nobody has to think about them.
What you'll work on
- Modernize CI/CD. Build and tune pipelines in GitHub Actions and DevOps for workflows, and in ansible for air gapped environments.
- Own the build infrastructure. Provision and scale systems, and registries as code so the release system stays available.
- Make performance visible. Help build monitoring for build health, and automate load and performance testing that catches regressions before release.
- Replace manual work with code. Find the slow, manual workflows and turn them into "everything-as-code."
What you bring
- 2 years in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and YAML-based configurations
- Scripting in Python and/or shell
- The ability to write and optimize support container-based deployments
- A working understanding of artifact and dependency management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or another STEM field
- US citizenship and an active or current (within 2 years) TS clearance with SCI eligibility
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a STEM field
- Release strategies such as blue/green and canary deployments
- SAST/DAST and container scanning integrated into pipelines
- Kubernetes-based delivery and DevSecOps experience
- CompTIA Security
