What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content and Brand Marketing Manager position at Embassy of Beauty?
About Embassy of Beauty
Embassy of Beauty is a UK-founded luxury multi-brand beauty retailer dedicated to discovering the world's most niche and exceptional prestige beauty brands. The hidden gems that deliver remarkable results yet are often overlooked by the mainstream. We travel beyond the obvious, seeking out innovators, artisans, and visionaries who are redefining luxury beauty in their own unique way.
Every brand in our portfolio is selected through a rigorous curation process rooted in three principles: authenticity, efficacy, and transparency. Before anything reaches our customers, it is tested by our team across a range of skin types and concerns.
We are now launching in the United States, opening our Boca Raton office to bring this elevated, carefully curated proposition to the American luxury beauty market.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Content and Brand Marketing Manager to own how Embassy of Beauty shows up in the US across owned and earned channels. This is a content-led, brand-led role for someone with genuine editorial instinct in the luxury beauty space.
You'll work alongside a Performance Marketing Executive who owns paid acquisition, and report directly to the US Head of Ecom. Your remit is everything that builds the brand: social, content, email, community, and the editorial storytelling that makes Embassy of Beauty feel different to every other beauty retailer in the US market.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the US content strategy across social, email, and on-site editorial. Luxury brand storytelling, niche product launches, founder narratives, and trend-led content that reflects our curation ethos.
- Build and grow our US social presence across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. Creating content that feels elevated, editorial, and unmistakably Embassy of Beauty.
- Own email and SMS marketing via Klaviyo. Welcome flows, post-purchase journeys, new brand drops, segmentation, and A/B testing.
- Develop and manage the US content calendar in collaboration with the UK team. Aligning brand launches, editorial moments, and seasonal campaigns across both markets.
- Build relationships with US-based luxury beauty editors, creators, and press. Managing influencer and affiliate partnerships that fit the brand's editorial sensibility.
- Brief and manage freelance photographers, videographers, and content creators when campaigns require it.
- Leverage AI tools (Claude, Midjourney, CapCut AI, and others) to scale high-quality content output without compromising on aesthetic or quality.
- Collaborate closely with the Ecommerce and Performance Marketing teams on promotional calendars, landing pages, and integrated campaigns.
- Track and report on content and brand KPIs: organic growth, engagement, email revenue, content performance, and brand sentiment.
- Stay ahead of US luxury beauty culture. The niche brand launches, the editorial conversations, and what's resonating with the high-end beauty consumer.
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of marketing experience in luxury beauty, prestige skincare, or high-end lifestyle ecommerce, with a clear focus on content, brand, and editorial.
- A genuine, demonstrable passion for niche and prestige beauty. You follow the founders, know the disruptors, and understand what resonates with a high-end audience.
- Strong content instincts. You know what luxury beauty looks like on social, what earns organic engagement, and what makes editorial content feel premium rather than promotional.
- Klaviyo experience or equivalent ESP. Comfortable building flows, segmenting audiences, and running tests.
- Confident managing creators, freelancers, and partners. Briefing well, holding the bar high, and bringing creative vision to life through others.
- Self-sufficient and resourceful. Comfortable being the brand voice in the US while the founders are still UK-based, with strong judgement on what to escalate and what to run with.
- Confident using AI tools to scale content output across multiple prestige brands without compromising on quality or aesthetic.
- Commercial as well as creative. You understand that brand work needs to drive revenue, and you can read the data to know what's working.
Nice to Have
- Experience at a luxury multi-brand beauty retailer or prestige marketplace (Space NK, Violet Grey, Net-a-Porter Beauty, Credo, Cos Bar, or similar).
- US-based luxury beauty press and creator relationships.
- Video and UGC content creation experience.
- Basic design skills in Canva, Adobe, or Figma.
- Editorial copywriting background.
What We Offer
- A founding US team role at a brand with a genuine point of difference, working directly with the founders during the US build. The chance to shape how Embassy of Beauty is introduced to the American luxury beauty market from day one.
