The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, control and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest level of quality care is maintained at all times.
The DON will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. Additionally, the DON will assure that nursing care is provided to all residents in accordance with their plan of care.

The Director of Nursing (DON) plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure Company standards. Offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees!
- Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
- Must possess current RN License and be in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- At least two years’ experience in nursing administration, including supervision, preferably in a long-term care setting. Knowledgeable about regulations and standards established by Medicare, Medicaid and state and city government.
- Oversee nursing administration and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare standards.
- Manage nursing staff, providing supervision, training, and support to enhance team performance.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to improve patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address resident needs and uphold residents' rights.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing practices and patient outcomes to ensure high-quality care delivery.
