Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Quran Teacher to inspire and guide students in their spiritual journey and understanding of the Holy Quran. This role involves delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting students’ individual development. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive Quran lessons aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating memorization, recitation, and Tafsir (interpretation)
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and individual needs, including students with disabilities or special educational requirements
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote active participation and critical thinking about Quranic teachings
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools to track student progress and enhance lesson delivery
- Assess student performance regularly through quizzes, recitations, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction effectively
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and educational staff to ensure curriculum consistency and share best practices for classroom management and instructional modifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in classroom teaching, preferably with elementary or primary school students
- Strong knowledge of the Quran, Tajweed (pronunciation rules), and Islamic studies
- Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with special educational needs or disabilities
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology, and curriculum development tools
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards, standardized testing procedures, and literacy education principles
- Background in childhood development, behavior management, and instructional modifications for varied learning needs
- Experience working in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus
