Responsibilities
- Stock and replenish produce displays efficiently using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary
- Ensure produce is properly packaged, labeled, and organized according to store standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the produce area, including cleaning shelves, displays, and equipment
- Assist customers with product questions, provide friendly service, and offer suggestions to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct regular inventory control checks to identify shortages or overstock issues and communicate needs to management
- Support shipping and receiving processes by loading, unloading, and organizing incoming produce shipments while adhering to safe lifting practices
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for stock accuracy and presentation standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and stand for extended periods throughout shifts
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising techniques, and retail sales practices preferred
