Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Hospitality Associate for our Tasting Room to work 20-30 hours per week. In this role, you will be providing exceptional service to our guests in a fast-paced environment that provides wine, food and live music 3-4 days a week depending on season.
Though not a management role, this position centers on leadership and fostering strong team collaboration. Whether you are greeting guests, pouring wine, taking orders, assisting kitchen staff with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness of the Tasting Room, your contributions will create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This position has the potential for advancement and become full-time for the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Assist Hospitality team with driving DTC sales.
- Optimize every guest interaction to increase average order value , wine club sign-ups and creating lasting customer relationships.
- Assist Tasting Room team to exceed sales targets and extend exceptional hospitality to our guests.
- Ability to stay calm and confident under pressure, balancing multiple priorities, and maintaining exceptional standards of execution.
- Ability to assist with all tasting room operations: inventory, reporting sales and overseeing daily logistics.
- Assist with supporting direct guest communications across all channels (in-person, phone, email, online ordering/scheduling).
- Ensure a seamless flow of guest experiences across peak times.
- Well-versed and passionate about wine.
- Accurately and efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process sales transactions.
- Appreciates various genres of live music.
- Prepare and serve wine and food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and tasting room areas throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Open and/or close the Tasting Room Thursdays-Sundays.
- Nights and weekends required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some holidays and periodic overtime.

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a Tasting Room is required.
- At least 1 year of experience working with wine clubs.
- Confident communicator with small and large groups alike.
- Highly dependable and attention to detail.
- Professional appearance, demeanor and enthusiasm.
- Does not tire of repetitive tasks.
- Experienced using Google Workspace, Canva and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening.
- Familiarity with OrderPort POS or similar POS system is required.
- Current Food Handlers Permit is required.
- Current OLCC Servers Permit is required.
- Experienced with handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Experienced with inventory, food preparation and kitchen operations.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure are essential traits for success in this role.
- Requires the ability to sit bend, stoop, twist and walk on uneven surfaces.
- Physical stamina and capability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to (50 Lbs).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to occasionally perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions.
