Superintendent – Commercial General Contractor | Houston, TX
Our client is looking for a Superintendent to oversee the successful delivery of a diverse range of ground-up and renovation commercial projects across K-12, Municipal, Government and Industrial sectors. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from start to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and field personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Project Management team.
- Conduct daily site meetings, inspections and safety briefings.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects and consultants throughout the construction process.
- Identify and resolve site issues to keep projects progressing efficiently.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience as a Superintendent working for a Commercial General Contractor.
- Experience delivering ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Previous experience on K-12, Municipal, Government or Industrial projects is highly desirable.
- Commercial GC experience is essential – candidates with solely multifamily or residential backgrounds will not be considered.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
