We are currently looking for an experienced Property Manager to lead daily operations on a 186-unit community on the near NE side in the Martindale – Brightwood neighborhood. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, team leadership, and IHA. This role requires someone who is an expert at occupancy management, team leadership, and resident relations through excellent customer service. Extensive renovations and property improvements are soon underway! This is an exciting opportunity to challenge yourself teamed up with an amazing support team to transition a community through an extensive community improvement plan.
Job Summary
As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of property operations including leasing, maintenance, budgeting, and resident relations. You’ll lead an on-site team and work to ensure high occupancy, resident satisfaction, and efficient property performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a multi-family residential property
- Supervise and support leasing and maintenance staff
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and local regulations
- Handle leasing, renewals, rent collection, and resident communications
- Manage budgets, control expenses, and meet financial goals
- Coordinate maintenance and property improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records using property management software
- Foster a positive and respectful living environment for residents
- Ensure accuracy of applicant files and review screening and supporting documentation extensively
- Hold monthly resident events
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in multi-family property management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord-tenant laws
- Experience with property management software – Yardi and RentCafe preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); college degree or relevant certification (preferred)
