Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Manager plays a critical role in attracting, engaging, and hiring top-tier talent while serving as a strategic partner to hiring managers and leaders across the Elmington Living property management portfolio and for Corporate.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- This individual will be executing full-cycle recruiting strategies and tactics for the following roles:
- Key property management leadership roles (Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Managers, and Community Directors) as well as high-volume property management onsite field roles across our 60 properties
- Corporate management and individual contributor openings
- Internship openings
- High-volume requisition load (40 active roles) across varied functions and levels
- Experience in building deep business acumen and knowledge to apply to sourcing processes to ensure strong and thorough candidate pools, and to expedite the hiring process
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, talent pipelining, and market research
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to coach, influence, and collaborate with hiring managers and leadership
- High-level organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
- Proficiency in recruiting tools and internet sourcing platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, ATS platforms (preferably Paycor), etc.)
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ethical conduct with a strong commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive operational efficiency
- Recruitment metrics literacy, including the ability to track, analyze, and interpret hiring data, and to build and share appropriate reports with business leaders to influence processes
- Strong problem-solving skills to address recruitment challenges and improve outcomes
- Learn and know the business, and apply that acumen to the talent work you do
- Serve as a strategic talent advisor to hiring managers by consulting on hiring needs, labor market trends, and recruitment strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders to ensure alignment on role requirements and candidate profiles
- Manage a requisition portfolio of 40 openings, prioritizing based on business needs and timelines while also managing high level corporate openings.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies using direct outreach, job boards, social media, referrals, and networking
- Screen and assess candidates for qualifications, cultural alignment, and long-term potential
- Lead the interview process, including scheduling, candidate preparation, debriefs, and hiring recommendations
- Maintain consistent, transparent communication with candidates and hiring teams throughout the hiring lifecycle
- Support employment branding initiatives to promote Elmington as an employer of choice
- Partner with onboarding and Support teams to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Utilize the applicant tracking system (Paycor) to maintain accurate records, track metrics, support compliance, drive continuous improvement, and provide data/reports to business leaders
- Represent Elmington at job fairs, recruiting events, and industry networking opportunities
- Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes and the overall talent acquisition function
- Lead and develop a recruiter and ensure performance accountability.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required
- 5 years of talent acquisition experience in leadership, high-volume, and multi-site environments.
- 2 years of people leadership experience.
- Experience preferred within real estate, property management, hospitality, healthcare, or related service industries
- Demonstrated success managing 40 requisitions concurrently
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior leaders to influence hiring outcomes
- Strong experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Glassdoor, and applicant tracking systems (Paycor preferred).
- Property management recruiting experience (site-level and corporate roles)
- Corporate roles sourcing experience
- Experience using Paycor ATS or Paycor HRIS
- Frequently sit, stand, and walk
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Noise level is typically moderate
- Temperature is typically moderate, though occasional exposure to seasonal outdoor conditions may occur
- Travel up to 10% of the time for job fairs
