Production Supervisor

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join our team in the growing Charleston aviation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading daily production operations, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with aerospace quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements. This role will oversee production personnel, drive operational performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives.

Responsibilities:

• To lead and oversee daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and delivery targets.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA, and customer-specific requirements).
• Ensure alignment with production and business targets, including efficiency, scrap, and downtime; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead, coach, and develop production team members to consistently meet performance and quality expectations.
• Enforce safety policies and take ownership of creating a safe working environment, conduct safety meetings, and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to support production goals.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and materials in accordance with work instructions and specifications.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure accurate production and quality documentation.
• Plan and communicate staffing needs (including overtime) to support production demand.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment in alignment with 5S principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or a regulated industry (AS9100 preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with ERP or production management systems.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in cross-functional environments.

Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to perform a variety of physical activities, including standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods. The ability to lift and handle materials, as well as to climb, balance, kneel, bend, and crouch, is required to access work areas and perform tasks.
