What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storeroom Associate position at ELMCREST CHILDRENS CENTER INC?
Position Statement: The Storeroom Assistant supports daily campus operations by managing supply distribution, coordinating food deliveries, maintaining inventory records and assisting Staff with supply requests. This position helps ensure cottages and program departments have the materials they need while maintaining an organized and efficient Storeroom. A professional, courteous manner is expected at all times while interacting with a large number of staff, customers, vendors and other members of the community.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of food and supplies to both on-campus and off-campus programs. Delivery may include putting items away depending on the current needs of the program.
- Checking deliveries in upon receipt against the submitted orders and requisitions to ensure accuracy as well as quality standards. Restocking the storeroom shelves with product as needed. Prepare and fulfill weekly supply orders and stage supplies for pickup or delivery.
- Fill in as needed when the Storeroom Manager is not at work. This would include putting storeroom orders together, refilling chemical containers, accepting and putting away orders when delivered and responding to special requests for items or materials needed for the Agency’s operation.
- Monitor inventory levels and prepare lists for items needed including general supplies, bulk quantities and special orders.

- Assist other Finance Department Staff with their work as needed.
- Answer questions from Agency Staff and assist with issues and concerns.

- Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent with relevant experience
- Valid NYS driver’s license
Essential Job Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to sit, squat, crouch and stand for elongated periods of time.
- Ability to lift arms over head in upward reaching motion.
- Ability to walk up and downstairs up to several times per day.
