As the U.S. business enters a growth and transformation phase, we are seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead and modernize end‑to‑end supply chain operations across our three U.S. manufacturing sites while partnering closely with Engineering, Production, and Sales. This is on-site in the Lawrenceville, GA area.
The Opportunity
This is a high‑impact leadership role reporting directly to the President, with matrix responsibility across Manufacturing Operations and alignment with the global Elma Group. The Director of Supply Chain will play a pivotal role in transitioning the organization from reactive execution to strategic, demand‑driven supply chain planning, while strengthening supplier partnerships and enabling enterprise scalability.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all supply chain functions across three U.S. manufacturing sites (Fremont, CA; Lawrenceville, GA; Horsham, PA), including procurement, sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and supplier development
- Provide matrix leadership to site‑based warehouse operations, ensuring alignment across Production, Sales, and Planning
- Manage and develop a team of approximately 10 supply chain professionals, balancing legacy talent and new hires through coaching, performance management, and capability building
- Standardize and optimize supply chain processes across sites while supporting broader global integration initiatives
- Drive transformation from tactical execution to strategic sourcing, planning, and supplier optimization
- Lead supplier and commodity rationalization initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Sales, and Production
- Serve as business process owner for supply chain policies, procedures, and documentation
- Act as a key functional leader in the expansion and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, working closely with IT and PLM stakeholders
- Establish supplier performance review cadences, including quarterly scorecards and continuous improvement programs
- Conduct make/buy analyses and oversee contract execution (including VMI and material returns)
- Monitor and report on critical KPIs such as purchase price variance, inventory turns, and cycle count accuracy
- Support monthly materials reporting, including NRE costs and inventory metrics
- Champion digital enablement opportunities, including supplier portals and enhanced data visibility
- Lead change management initiatives and cultivate a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain and materials management
- Experience in electronics, aerospace, defense, or other regulated low‑volume/high‑mix manufacturing environments
- Proven success leading multi‑site supply chain organizations with both strategic and tactical responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Strong cross‑functional leadership and influence in matrixed organizations
- Demonstrated success in supplier development, optimization, and cost reduction
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable enterprise ERP systems
- Analytical, execution‑oriented problem solver with a transformation mindset
- Proven ability to coach teams, manage change, and build scalable processes
- Effective communicator able to partner with executive leadership, operations, and engineering teams
